These 12 foot truck wheels cost $25,000 each and each truck has 6 wheels. So $150,000 a truck and they only last for 1 year. That's one expensive truck!
Ethan checked out the old copper mine carts. Some random kid kept crawling under it while I was taking pictures.
We also let him test out the copper mine buckets that they used to bring ore up from the mines. The miners would fill the buckets and then ride up the mine shafts on the buckets of ore.
Austin and Grandma Sue
Ethan and "Papa" Foster checking out the huge mine and looking for trucks.
The Kennecott Mine is 3/4ths of a mile deep and just over 2 miles across the top.
Austin was such a good sport. Even when it started to rain and we had to take cover at the pavilion, he just smiled and kicked his little fat legs in the Bjorn.
He kept resting his head on my Dad's shoulder whenever Grandpa would hold him. It was so cute!
My sister Lisa, her kids, and her friends visiting from Maryland met up with us. All the little cousins had fun checking out the exhibits in the Visitors Center.
Ethan absolutely LOVED the toy trucks in each exhibit and pointed out every single one.
We had a great time and Ethan still loves talking with me about the big trucks we saw at the mine. Thanks for driving us Grandma and Grandpa Foster!
