We weren't able to make it down to Utah this year for the 4th of July since we've been working on opening our Dickey's Barbecue Pit and Dan was still working at Central Refrigerated. So we decided on a more low key holiday since we were staying in Tri-Cities.
We went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse as a family.

We let them ride around on their bikes in our circle while waiting for it to get a little darker.
We hung out in the backyard and lit fireworks for the boys to enjoy. We decided not to go to any of the big firework shows since it doesn't get dark enough until about 10pm and our boys would have been tired and cranky. I think they had more fun doing fireworks at home anyway.
We really wish we could have spent the holiday with family but we still had a great time!
