1 week old!

I can't believe it's been a week since little Ethan was born! At times it feels like we've had him forever and sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday I was in the hospital having contractions. This week seems to have flown by and I'm already amazed at how fast he is changing. His face isn't so squashed-looking anymore and he's so much more alert. This picture was taken on Tuesday the 22nd, just 4 days after he was born. You can tell his clothes are still just a little big on him! The sleeves and legs of almost all his outfits are a bit roomy but he'll chubby up again in the next few weeks and I want him to wear all his cute outfits before he grows out of them!

My parents and younger brother came up last Sunday while I was still in the hospital and my mom has stayed with us all week. Spencer came down from our cousin's ranch where he works so he could meet Ethan. He had to drive back up that same night but it was so fun to have him come visit!

My sister, Lisa, came up Tuesday for most of the day and Wednesday night my brother, Kevin, and his family came up from Eagle Mountain to meet Ethan. It was a long drive for them but we really appreciated it and it was great to see them! Kevin's kids all got to hold Ethan and were so careful with their new baby cousin! Kevin's youngest, Hayden, and my sister's current youngest, Cole, are both about a year older then Ethan--and since my sister is having her baby boy in a few weeks, Ethan will have lots of boy cousins to play with here in Utah. Dan's sister Jamie is having her little girl the beginning of August so when we go to Texas, he'll have a cousin close to his age there too!

Ethan is such a good baby when it comes to sleeping, except for at night! He will eat a ton, stay alert for about 30 min to an hour and then zonk out for 2 1/2 - 3 hrs. The only time he doesn't stick to this routine is nighttime! Dan and I are working on this with him, especially since Dan is back at work now and needs his sleep too! This picture is from this morning. Ethan and I had a rough night so Dan offered to feed him his morning bottle--which was about 6am. So while I was getting some extra sleep, my Mom got this picture of Dan and Ethan.
Haha it looks like Daddy was a little tired too!
