A week with G&G Pelfrey from Texas

Dan's parents, Jim and Gloria, flew up from Texas for Ethan's blessing day and stayed with us for the whole week afterward. It was so fun to have them here.
Dan is very happy about this picture...sigh

Of course, they were thrilled to meet their newest grandchild (until Jamie's little girl is born!) and spent the whole week holding him every chance they got! Haha I don't think Ethan slept in his crib for naps all week! He loves being cuddled in his blankets when he gets tired before he falls asleep and Grandma and Grandpa Pelfrey were expert cuddlers!

While they were here, we took them up to Bear Lake to enjoy the great weather. We packed a picnic, sat on the beach on the south end of the lake, and then ate lunch on the porch of the cabin that Dan and I love! We actually had the realtor come and show us around the inside of the cabin. This place is almost 7000 sq. ft. It's incredible!

We spent the rest of the time relaxing and hanging out around the house. Dan took most of the week off of work and so we were all able to spend time together. It was very enjoyable spending time with them! Dan and I are trying to convince them to retire and spend some of each year up in Utah with us. We loved having them here and would love for to be around more as we have more kids! Dan and I'll keep hoping!

Jim and Gloria left on Saturday so we drove down to SLC to drop them off. Dan had a rough day because we also took our beautiful 2007 Nissan Titan and sold it in Salt Lake that day. We decided that we really don't need 2 cars and we hardly drove it anyway. Not to mention, it would have been an extremely tight, tight squeeze to get Ethan's carseat in the backseat. So we are down to my Murano and are now a one-car family. It was a sad moment for both of us since Dan bought the truck on our 2nd date and it's been through quite a bit in the last 3 years.

After dropping the truck off at the dealership, we went up to my grandparents house for my Dad's birthday party. All of the grandchildren (except Ethan and Blake) went swimming and we celebrated with a dinner of hotdogs, hamburgers and cake.

Both Ethan and Blake have the same sleeper outfit so Lisa and I took some pictures of the two of them.

What cute little cousins!
