Here it is. The
big day.
The big day. The day we celebrate that 365 days ago Ethan joined our little family. We'd never been more exhausted, exhilarated, anxious, and enthusiastic then we were when he was finally born. Once he arrived, we couldn't help but feel like he had always been a part of the family. He just fit. And we love him. So here is our little "Chubbers".

So we celebrated in style! Thus, Ethan's Awesome Alligator Birthday! We went all out.
We made him an Alligator cake.
Dan added the gummy fish sticking out of its snaggle-tooth mouth. Both Dan and I contributed to this little monster-I took care of creative genius and Dan took care of the artistic genius.

By the end of the day, Ethan had made out like a bandit. He loves all his new birthday toys and crawls between them like he can't decide which one to play with next. And so it was with one tired baby with green frosting in his hair that Ethan's 1st birthday ended. It was such a wonderful party. I'm so glad that Jim and Gloria were able to be here to celebrate his birthday with us and big hugs go out to all my family who made the trip. We loved having you up here!
