Dan is one of the coaches for the new charter school out in Bluffdale, Summit Academy High School. Since this is the first year for the school, they played 1A and next year they'll be 3A. Dan is the JV and Varsity Special Teams and Kicking Coach so he's been really busy with summer camps, daily practices, and games for the last 3 months. He loves it though!
Summit made it to the playoffs but lost the the first game. They did really well for their first year as a school. It was fun going to the home games with my friend Soleil (her husband is the JV Defensive Coordinator and Varsity D.B. coach and he works with Dan) and cheering on a high school team. I took the boys to one of the games but Austin didn't like the noise and Ethan was more interested in playing games on Soleil's phone than the football game. We'll try again next year and see how they do. I think they'll enjoy going to the games as they grow up!
