Conference Weekend

We decided to go down to SLC for conference weekend to spend time with my family. We spent the majority of our weekend up in Midway with my sister's family. We left Logan just in time to see all the inbound traffic of BYU students trying to make their way to the stadium. We were glad we were leaving town and managed to avoid the worst of it. Instead, we watched the game in the comfort of my sister's home. Her husband Cody is an avid BYU fan and since Dan used to play for USU it made for lively banter and commentary between the two.  Go Aggies!!

On Saturday morning, Dan went 4-wheeling with Cody, Cody's dad, and two of our nephews up in the mountains west of Midway to scout for place to deer hunt. One of my sister's neighbors let them borrow their RZR, a 4-seater, off-road cross between a golf cart and 4-wheeler. It was pretty cool and the boys spent most of the morning off playing. Lisa and I drove up to meet them for lunch above Little Deer Creek Campground with her daughter and our babies in between conference sessions.

It was absolutely beautiful up there! Most of the trees had already past their prime fall colors but the quakies were just turning yellow and it made for beautiful scenery.

Ethan and Blake both fell asleep on the way back home from our picnic. What cute little chubby cousins! As Lisa put it, "Blake looks like he has marshmallows in his cheeks and Ethan has droopy puppy cheeks"!
The men went down to my Grandpa's ward for the Priesthood session so Ethan and I stayed at my Grandpa house with my Grandma Foster, my mom, Cole, and Tucker.  The three boys played with their toys most of the time until Cole and I picked out a movie. Cole chose a Mickey Mouse movie and watched about 5 minutes of it before wandering away. Tucker lasted the whole movie and, surprisingly, so did Ethan... I did manage to catch a couple of pictures of the cousins having their movie moment.

  Ethan and his Great-Grandpa Foster!

Overall, it was another great relaxing weekend just hanging out with family and listening to all the wonderful, uplifting talks of General Conference.
