Just so people can actually see that we are remodeling my in-laws house, I took some pictures of the room in different stages. In this picture, we had already taken everything out of the room, all pictures off the walls, torn out the carpet, and Dan is in process of tearing off the baseboards while I was busy painting the ceiling.

We threw all of demolition items out the window and they are still piled on the front lawn. We figured we would wait until the front room and the hallway are done before we get ready of the trash. Dan was still in process of ripping out baseboards with a crowbar when we posed for this picture.

Once we tore out all the baseboards, we painted the ceiling, walls and put in new baseboards. I did the first coat and Dan did the second.

Once we finished all of the baseboards and painting, we cleaned it up so the carpet people could put in the carpet the next morning.

And this is the finished product! We still need to move the piano, couch and bookshelf back but the room looks 100% better then before!

Once we put up the new drapes and get new lamps this room it will be a great place for the Pelfrey's to sit and relax!
