We've owned the house since last October when we actually closed on the loan, but we've been renting it out to college students for the last year. Once graduation came around, the girls that lived there all moved out and Dan and I began to move all of our stuff (and there was a LOT of stuff) into the house. It's been about a 2 week process, slowly moving truck load after truck load of books, clothes, foods, shoes, and furniture over to the house, but we finally brought over the last load on the Saturday that we moved out of our townhouse.
Now my only challenge is wading through all of our stuff and deciding where we want to put it. I've spent the last week shuffling furniture around since we are also remodeling our kitchen and the master bedroom. The kitchen and the master bedroom only had one outlet each. The kitchen's was behind the fridge and the bedroom's was right next to the door. So Dan and I tore out the walls and wired more outlets in the kitchen and the bedroom. I took some pictures of the demolition phase and then reconstruction.

Too bad the lighting isn't better in your picture of the kitchen torn up. It doesn't show how truly ragged it was.
does this mean that cody and lisa get to give you your big ol' freakin monkey back?? :o) congrats!
I am so impressed with you and your husband on how well you remodel!! Congrats on graduation and moving into your house.
Looks like so much fun. I know it's a lot of work, but anything that's hard makes you appreciate it that much more!
