She was discharged from the hospital last Friday and has been resting quietly at home since then. Family and friends have been watching her four kids for her so she can actually have some quiet at the house. Her doctors sent the pathology report of her tumor out for a second opinion last week and we haven't heard back yet on the results. She is doing well, although her face has become swollen from the draining of fluids from the swelling in her brain. It wasn't swollen before since she had a drain tube at the hospital, but at home it has no where to go except into her face. She's still in good spirits and wearing all the cute hats that she's recently acquired. She still has some short term memory loss-mostly just forgetting that she's said the same thing about 3-4 times a visit, texting the same thing over and over, and saying things a little more bluntly than usual. Cody says it's a side effect of her surgery and it'll go away as she continues to recover.
I've had Lisa's two youngest boys, Cole and Blake, over at our apartment a couple of times. Ethan absolutely LOVES having his cousins here to share his toys with and they all play so well together.
He and Cole played trains and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse together
Ethan and Blake had fun playing with the fridge magnets and Ethan's newest drawing.
And they all loved hanging out on our new couches after lunch!
Love these boys!
