Our Texan Christmas: Part 2

After we left Dallas it took us another 6 hours to get to Dan's parents home in Orange, TX. Ethan was still traveling like a little stinker and cried for about 2 1/2 hours of the drive and whined and fidgeted the rest. It's hard to be little and stay strapped in your carseat for that long. I hated hearing his desperate little cry because he was so tired but couldn't fall asleep. We finally got there though and Ethan fell right to sleep in the crib his Grandma Gloria had set up for him.

It was so fun getting to introduce Ethan to all his cousins and reintroduce him to his grandparents. Jim and Gloria came out last summer for Ethan's blessing when he was 1 month old but they haven't seen him in person since then. Webcam just doesn't compare to hugs and kisses so, needless to say, Ethan spent lots of time being held by his grandma!
During the day, Dan's brother Michael's kids, Trista and Joshua, would stay at Gloria's so Ethan got to play with them. It was so cute! Josh would come up and kiss Ethan on the head and Trista always wanted to hold him.  Both of them were so gentle around Ethan although it was hard to curb their boisterousness while Ethan was napping. Trista kept asking me why Ethan slept so much! She always wanted to wake him up so she could play with him.
He loves his cousin Trista!
Joshua always made sure Ethan had toys to play with

When Jamie, John, and the girls got down to Orange, Ethan and Livia got to spend more cousin time on the playmat and under the Christmas tree.
His other cousins, Shelby and Madison, also got to meet him for the first time. I have to say, Ethan LOVED all the attention and was not the least bit shy about going to new people.
