Our Texan Christmas:Part 1

This year, our family is spending Christmas down in Orange, TX with Dan's parents and family. We decided to drive since flights during the holidays are ridiculously expensive and it was about $400 cheaper to drive....of course, we didn't plan  on the "Ethan does NOT like his carseat after 2 hours of driving and is especially grumpy after driving straight through the night (almost 20 hrs) to get to Dallas" factor.  I never, NEVER want to do such a long drive without stopping for the night somewhere ever, EVER again! Not the smartest thing we've ever done. Good thing Ethan is so naturally good-natured and as soon as we got there and took him out of his carseat he was a happy, smiley baby and loved playing with his cousins, Rebekah and Livia.

 Cute, cute cousins!

Not sure how he feels about being a Dallas Cowboys fan...
Playing and laughing with Aunt Jamie
It was the first time we've seen Jamie's little girl, Livia. She's about 2 months younger then Ethan although she outweighs him and is a little taller. Ethan and Livia played together on Livia's playmat.
It was pretty cute. They were both grabbing each others hands and feet and trying to eat them. It looked like they were holding hands.

We stayed a night at Jamie's house in Dallas before driving the remaining 6 hours down to his parents house in Orange, TX. Once again, Ethan did not travel well but it was still infinitely better than the previous drive.  For now, we are enjoying the warm 78 degree Texan weather, playing with his other cousins, and hanging out with his grandparents!

I'll post more of our Texan Christmas later!
